Cobra 289 FIA
March 12, 2025Based around the chassis and drivetrain of the legendary AC Cobra, the Shelby Cobra Daytona was designed by American Pete Brock for Shelby from the outset as a racing car. The aerodynamic body work was designed especially to overcome the AC Cobra’s lack of efficiency in this area, and as a result the Daytona had a top speed more than 50 km/hr higher than the open topped Cobra. Therefore the car enjoyed much racing success, particularly winning the International Championship for GT Manufacturers in 1965. Six cars were originally built.
Our Cobra Daytona is an accurate recreation of the original car, from it’s handmade aluminium body to it’s authentic 3 inch round tube chassis and suspension.
