Created between 1963 and 1964, 12 Lightweight E-Types were built in total. Weight reduction measures including the substitution of aluminium for steel in the body, plexiglass windows as well as improved aerodynamics ensuring this car was a true thoroughbred.  

Only one Low Drag Coupe prototype was built by the factory, and this design featured a number of upgrades to enhance aerodynamics over the Lightweight, including a more pronounced windscreen rake. Considered by many to be the most beautiful E-Type every created.
